Alcohol and drug addiction affects the whole family- young children, teenagers, and grown up children, wives and husbands, brothers and sisters, parents, and other relatives and friends. One family member addicted to alcohol or drugs means the whole family suffers. Addiction is a family disease that stresses the whole family to the breaking point, and impacts the stability of the home, family unity, mental health, physical health, finances, and overall family dynamics.
We believe that to help those with addiction problems, we also need to help the family - that is God’s perfect plan. Through the Peacemaker Program, your family can learn God’s principles for achieving peaceful resolutions to those conflicts into which we naturally fall. Many of the participants in this group have had to separate from their loved ones due to lack of trust. Our goal is to bring loved ones back together in unity and love. We believe this can only happen using Biblical principles and time-tested programs. Ephesians 4:2-4 says “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called.”
